Thescorre’s Next Market Day!

Join us for a Yule Celebration at Market Day, 1-5 pm on January 18 (Saturday).

We invite you to drop in at Red Shield Hall to catch up with friends, share food, and celebrate the season.

So pull out some warm garb, bring a dish to share and contact your friends with plans to meet/conspire.

In Memoriam:

This year’s Yule celebration brings with it a Memorial Celebration of the life of Aelis Helene of Hengenrode (Lisa Helen Hoffman). A long-time (recently inactive) member of the Barony of Thescorre. If you were lucky enough to have known her, you are already aware of her passion for joy and in creating joy for others. Aelis spent hours working in kitchens, sewing, singing, and playing music, as well as teaching dance and conducting music groups in Thescorre and abroad. She was a defining personality in the forming of our Barony and because of this, her family wishes to share a bit of her life with all of us. Lisa’s (Aelis’s) family will be joining us to celebrate our Yule, our new year beginning. And they bring with them many SCAdian items of Aelis’s that they would like to gift to members of the Barony of Thescorre, that Aelis’s memory might live on. So welcome to Lisa’s family, happiest Yule to our members and friends, and may we all live on in this dream with the same passion that she saw in all of us.
